"Life changing. My biggest win is energy. I have so much energy after work now!! I used to barely make it home and through dinner and a little tv before crashing at 8pm. Now I am cooking, cleaning and doing laundry after work!! Never knew all those grains and peanut butter were bringing me down so much! I would tell others to give it a try - you can do anything for a specific amount of time. Why not try and see if this changes your life?"
________________________ "So we are out to eat and my 7 yr old asks if she could read the label on the applesauce that comes with her kids meal. I don't think she knows exactly what she is looking for but its a great start! My 9yr old scrapes half the cheese off of her grilled chicken. I'm so proud!" ________________________ "I stopped seeing what I couldn't do and started seeing what I can do - huge difference!" ________________________ "My goals in this were a bit different. I can do extremes for a short time, I can follow someone else’s guide to a T but to live every day in making the right and healthy choices for myself is where I fall short. The extremes may come in handy later but I have to have a good base, if that makes sense. I didn’t trust in myself anymore to truly listen AND DO what is right for me. I felt weak and disempowered. This challenge wasn’t the only thing helping me but it was a big guide. My big win is that I trust in myself again and I feel empowered." ________________________ "Reflecting now, I wonder what my anxiety prior to the challenge was all about. For the first time, I feel like an athlete...it's a good feeling." |
